How the KPop Merch Episode in KMJS Affected the Safety of KPop Fans

Just recently, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, featured an episode of a girl who was able to amass a KPop merch collection worth over 2 million pesos.

The thing is, she bought it not with her own money. Apparently stolen from her family.

Now, the fans and collectors were really affected by that episode. Main reason? Their parents will surely use it against them.

Here's the catch. It was revealed in the episode that a photocard can cost as much as PhP50,000 pesos.

This information alone risked the safety of some of the KPop fans after the episode aired.

In a tweet by @wonkyubns, she stated how the episode not only made people view KPop merch collectors negatively, but also risked their safety.

Fans have been experiencing having their photo cards stolen or grabbed. Here are some experiences shared on Twitter.

Others have shared how their merch parcel have already been opened before it reached them.

Or maybe just being judged because of these photo cards.

Now, people are saying they won't bring their photo cards with them anymore.

Remember to put our safety first. Leave our PCs at home, take them out of your cellphone sleeve.

I think it's already getting out of hand. So please be careful everyone.
