Song Joong Ki Received Backlash After Insensitive Comment About Being a Father

The public is not happy with Song Joong Ki's latest comment after he became a father.

The Vincenzo actor recently welcomed his newborn son and fans were happen for the new father. He shared a photo and a letter on his fan cafe welcoming his new baby. 

After this, a recent interview he gave in China gave the opposite effect. 

The interviewer asked,

Your movie has been premiered at Cannes, while your baby is on the way. The Chinese have this saying, “a double harvest in work and family life.” What do you think about the relationship between the two?

Song Joong Ki replied that being a father, it would be unavoidable that his work will be affected. He explained,

Sometimes, being a father, being a husband, that means losing a job in this business. Being a father and having a baby, and a marriage with a woman, in this business, sometimes, it looks like I’m losing my job more and more.

Although unintentional, netizens did not take his answer positively, saying that he was not the one who gave birth. It is common knowledge that mothers who give birth suffer physically even after pregnancy.
