Before Min Ah, there was model Yoo Ji Ahn. The two were together for three years, from 2011 to 2014, when he was just beginning his acting career. Shortly after going public, they decided to call it quits. Kim's popularity is soaring at this time due to his drama, The Heirs. Netizens were harsh, going as far as saying that he abandoned Yoo who stayed with him when he was not yet successful.
On July 2015, Dispatch revealed Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah dating. They met on January 2015 during an editorial shoot for a clothing brand. She is 5 years older than he is. Once again, they were criticized by the public. But they decided to keep silent and never spoke about each other in public. And people were expecting that they would break up.
And then the challenge. Kim was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer on May 2017, the peak of his career. He needs to take the time off from acting to focus on his health and receive treatment. And not surprisingly, his girlfriend stayed by his side.
Shin did not take any projects for nearly two years to focus on her boyfriend's recovery. She helped him through his treatment, as he had to go through 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 35 rounds of radiation. This time, she was praised by netizens for doing this.
