Gold Medalist Finally Confirms Kim Soo Hyun Dating Allegations with Kim Saeron

Gold Medalist issued a statement on March 14.

The agency stated:

"Early this morning, Kim Soohyun exhibited severe psychological distress. Our company took measures to ensure he could receive absolute rest and stability. Since the reports by Garo Sero Institute (Gaseyeon), he has been suffering extreme confusion due to claims that he was responsible for the sudden passing of the deceased.

Additionally, on the night of March 12, after Gaseyeon's broadcast, a vehicle with a person holding a camera remained stationed across from our company's main entrance and in the parking lot until dawn. On March 13, around lunchtime, people with cameras were seen loitering around the building, continuing to exert psychological pressure on Kim Soohyun.

In response, we urgently decided to release a statement to clarify key issues, asking for your understanding. Though this was not our original plan, there is nothing more important than addressing this matter, even if parts of our response may be insufficient."

But they said they started dating when she became an adult.

"Kim Soohyun and Kim Saeron dated from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after Kim Sa-ron had already become an adult. The claim that Kim Soohyun dated Kim Saeron while she was a minor is not true.

The photos Kim Sa-ron posted on her Instagram Story on March 24, 2024, and the ones revealed by Gaseyeon on March 11, 2025, were taken on the same winter day in 2020 when they were dating. The outfit Kim Saeron wore in the pictures was from a brand collection released in June 2019, making it impossible for these photos to have been taken in 2016, as Gaseyeon claims.

The additional photo released by Gaseyeon on March 12, 2025, was taken on December 24, 2019, on Christmas Eve. We have secured its metadata. The photo revealed on March 13 was taken on the same day, as seen from the matching outfits. Every photo Gaseyeon presented as 'evidence' that Kim Soohyun dated Kim Saeron while she was a minor was actually taken after she had already reached adulthood. There is no possibility that a photo from 2016 exists because the two were not in a relationship at that time."

They also addressed the contyroversy of their past relationship.

"Many criticisms have been directed at Kim Soohyun regarding his relationship with Kim Saeron. While their relationship was a private matter between two consenting adults, we acknowledge that, as a beloved public figure, Kim Soohyun is subject to public scrutiny. We take such criticism seriously and with humility.

However, Gaseyeon's reports continue to spread numerous falsehoods and misinformation as though they are facts. The informant who appeared on their broadcast claimed to be a family member of Kim Saeron, but according to a media report, they were actually an acquaintance of Kim Saeron's mother. Despite this unclear identity, distorted information was presented based on a few misleading photos, without any verification from the individuals involved, leading to the spread of baseless rumors."

In conclusion, they stated:

"Kim Soohyun's personal life has been forcibly exposed by third parties, and this has resulted in immense suffering for him, the deceased, and those around them. While Kim Soohyun accepts public opinions regarding his choices, the distortion of past events and the continued spread of falsehoods make this situation unbearably painful. Furthermore, delving into and defaming the deceased’s personal life must stop immediately."

On the letters allegedly sent to Kim Saeron during his military days,

"The letter Kim Soohyun wrote to Kim Saeron during his military days was one of those letters that he wrote to close acquaintances. As you can see from the content, Kim Soohyun was adjusting to life in the military, and he would write to his friends in detail about his daily life in the military. 'Missing you' is a lighthearted way for a soldier in the military to express his love to his close friends. However, by claiming that they had been dating since 2015, Garosero distorted photos of Kim Saeron as an adult to show her as a minor, and juxtaposed postcards from their relationship with letters from their military days, making it seem like a love letter. The nickname that Kim Sae-ron has been using publicly on social media since 2016 has been distorted to look like a nickname used only between the two of them.
