Seo Ye Ji Apolgizes for Controversy 10 Months After the Event

 Almost a year after the controversy with ex-boyfriend Kim Jung Hyun, Seo Ye Ji issues an apology.


Here is her official statement. 
Hello, this is Seo Ye Ji.

First, I sincerely apologize for the fact that I’m conveying my feelings so late through these written words.

Seeing all of the reproach and the many things that have been said about me, I have been taking time to reflect on myself up until now.

I would like to sincerely apologize for making many people uncomfortable due to my shortcomings. Once again, I sincerely bow my head and apologize for the fact that I have disappointed you greatly.

All of this stemmed from my immaturity, and I will work hard to behave more carefully in the future and show you a more mature version of myself.

It was last year when Dispatch issued a report which includes text messages exchanged between the two where the actress requested scenes with physical contact in the drama Time be removed between Kim and co-star Seolhyun.

Her agency issued a statement regarding the incident, she also withdrew from the OCN Drama Island, but it is only now that she has issued an apology.

 IU is currently enjoying the success of her hit drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines.  Read my review of When Life Gives You Tangerines In an interview on April 2, 2025, at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Grand Ballroom, IU was asked about her boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk’s, thoughts on her hit drama. With a playful tone, IU responded,  He's really busy. So, I don't think he's had a chance to see it yet. At least, that's what I assume since I know he's been very busy. She also jokingly added, When Life Gives You Tangerines promotions end today, so right now, my world revolves around Gwan-sik. I only know Yang Gwan-sik.  After the press conference by Kim Sae Ron's family, Kim Soo Hyun's agency has responded. During the press conference, HoverLab said that they obtained an audio recording with the late Kim Sae Ron. But, this audio file is entirely fabricated. GOLDMEDALIST has determined that it was created using AI or similar technology. The individual who provided this audio file to HoverLab is a fraudster who also approached GOLDMEDALIST, saying that they possess a recording where Kim Sae Ron made statements in favor of Kim Soo Hyun. They demanded money from GOLDMEDALIST and sent a part of the recording, which was manipulated to imitate the late actress' voice. GOLDMEDALIST did not comply with any of the provider’s demands. According to GOLDMEDALIST, the audio file provider could not have possibly had any contact with the late Kim Sae Ron.
