These Little Details in Extraordinary Attorney Woo Will Make You Go "Wow"
Extraordinary Attorney Woo is one of the most popular KDramas at the moment, with high viewership ratings, talks of a US remake and entering the Netflix Global Top 10.
And viewers of the show are also able to observe some little details in the drama which normally, we would not be able to connect to the story line. But there are two recent observations that made me realize how good the writers really are.
First, Young Woo's phone number.
On July 15, Snaptime reported something interesting about the lawyer's phone number in the show.
The 52-hertz whale is known as the loneliest whale in the world. This is because it emits a frequency of 52 hertz. Therefore, it cannot communicate with other whales which normally emits frequencies of 15 - 25 hertz only. However, academic findings have yet to be found on these 52-hertz whales, including species, habitats and populations. On Woo Young-woo’s business card, the last digit of her mobile phone number is ‘5252’. It has been said that this 5252 means the world’s loneliest whale, 52-hertz whale.
Considering the characteristics of this whale, it may have been part of the production to have her number like this. Because like the 52-hertz whale, Woo Young Woo have had a problem communicating due to her ASD.
Young Woo's best friend Geurami
Young Woo calls her friend Won Won. Won means circle in Korean. On July 17, a post on theqoo talked about the connection of circle in the story of Attorney Woo.
According to the post,
People with autism are particularly obsessed with round objects in their childhood. On something like a lid wheel. Because the circle is round without an angle, it is said that it does not make them suffer from obsessive compulsion like an angled object and helps them keep stable in the mind.
These little details make the drama even better. It makes us even more inspired to watch this extraordinary show.
