Extraordinary Attorney Woo Finally Succumbed to Product Placement

It may be due to Extraordinary Attorney Woo's popularity, but it ultimately had a product placement in one recent episode.

The drama has actually been Praised for having no product placement. In fact netizens have been thankful that it was not taken in by SBS.

But ultimately, it has succumbed to the PPL trend. On its 11th episode, a product placement was spotted and it surprised viewers. In the episode, Choi Suyeon had a call from someone he's dating saying he likes to meet her. Before meeting him, she took a multi balm and put it on her neck, lips and forehead.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo reportedly was able to prevent these ad placemats due to its low production costs. Normally, a 16-episode drama would cost 13B KRW (7.7-10M USD). EAW has a slightly higher cost at 20B KRW (15.3M USD). But still, it is not necessary to have its main characters suddenly drink red ginseng or have dinner at a franchise restaurant.

The multibalm is a very famous product often seen in other dramas that's why it's well known to KDrama fans. But after seeing the product, here are some of the netizens' comments
They said it was a PPL-free drama, and I was surprised when I saw it,
It was more special because there was no product placement, but it's a pity,
Fans looked down on other dramas that had product placements, and in the end, they used a product placement.

Meanwhile, the product had an ad placed on Facebook with reference to Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

What can you say about this?
