Kim Seon Ho is the Winner of the Asian Artist Popularity Award after Fraudulent Voting was Discovered

Fraudulent voting was discovered at the Asian Artist Award Popularity contest, and the winner has changed from Jaechan to Kim Seon Ho.



Before the Asian Artist Award show on December 13, something happened that the winner of the popularity award has changed.

AAA held an online voting through the Idol Plus app and website. The award category was divided into singers and actors and ended at 11:59pm on November 15.

DKZ Jae Chan and Kim Seon Ho had a small gap and in the end, it was confirmed that Jae Chan won with 920,000 votes, defeating Kim Seon Ho who got around 820,000 votes. 

But on November 22, the winner was changed. This was because illegal voting was discovered during the process of voting. Idol Plus said,
We inform you that more than part of the votes were found during the Asian Artist Awards Idol Plus Popularity Awards vote and were excluded after the entire verification process. We ask for your understanding in the delay of the final voting. Idol Plus will make efforts to create a smoother and fairer voting culture in the process.

After the illegal voting was excluded, Jae Chan's votes turned out to be 389,919 and he went down to second place. And the winner was eventually changed to actor Kim Seon Ho who got 820,625 votes.

Kim Seon Ho also won the same award at the 2021 Asia Artist Award.
