Ok Taecyeon's Revelations During Eric Nam Interview
Ok Taecyeon recently guested on Dive Studio's Daebak Show with Eric Nam and has revealed some interesting stories.
Lee Junho accidentally broke his arm
Long story short… I’m a righty, and the left one’s broken because… We were in Japan. 2PM were doing some promotion for this song called ‘Beautiful,’ and we had like 10-minute break while we had to shoot a stage like record a stage. And we’re just like fooling around as like all the time … We started arm wrestling. Junho was like, ‘Hyung, but I’m a lefty.’ Okay, let’s do left one!
Taecyeon demonstrated the accident as similar to that of the 1987 movie Over the Top with Sylvester Stallone.
Apparently, this supposedly fun arm-wrestling challenge resulted in a broken arm!JYP has restricted his acting roles
I mean, you may have already done it. What is something you haven’t done yet you really want to do?
Taecyeon said that he always dreamed of playing an antagonist but his former company JYP Entertainment would not allow him as they want to maintain his clean image.
Um. I mean, back when I was in JYP. I’m not talking sh*t about JYP, by the way! I’m just saying literal fact. They wouldn’t let me do the antagonist. They wouldn’t let me do a villain role. I had to be clean image, very nice or like… I could be a rebel, but you don’t want to be like a serial killer. So, that’s the only dream role that I had before, but then again, I moved company…
When he left his former agency and joined 51K, this opened new opportunities for him and he was able to fulfill that role as Jang Han Seok in Vincenzo.I mean, I understand why. …If it was just me acting like in a villain role and I would get so much hate from doing it … and that might lead to some of the CMs or like commercials that I do would drop. It affects that, and if that’s been affected, then maybe the whole group, 2PM’s image also might go down, so the company was very worried about that, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I understand.’ That’s why I didn’t take the roles, obviously…
During a show called Vincenzo, I did some villain roles, so I was very happy and lucky to have that role as one of my works, projects.
Difference between KDrama and American drama
or example, like Korean TV series usually have 16 episodes to shoot, whereas American TV series maybe maximum 12 to 10, and they have less things to shoot. And they don’t have the whole on-air right now kind of thing. It’s not live-streaming, obviously.
Also, US series are ususlly filmed in advance, so his appearance in XO, Kitty was actually filmed a year ago.
He jokingly said that he's already a different person and might even look different this year.
