Han Ji Min's New Drama Hasn't Premiered Yet, but it's Already Embroiled in a Controversy
Han Ji Min's new drama, Behind Your Touch, is already receiving criticisms even before its premier.
JTBC recently released a teaser trailer for the upcoming drama, about a detective who teamed up with a psychic veterinarian to solve a murder mystery.
The trailer has been hit heavily with criticisms due to its premise, where Han Ji Min's character is seen touching people's behinds. This is because, she only obtains her psychic power if she touches people's backsides.
Aside from the trailer, the poster also received negative reviews. In the poster, Han Ji Min is seen with her hands stretched out with the caption, My hands are innocent. This seems problematic as it makes light of sexual harassment.
Huh? Unnie… But K-Dramas like The Light In Your Eyes did so well…”“Unnie, your filmography was so good. Why did you choose something like this? ㅠㅠ.”“I hate this.”“Sexual harassment is wrong even if a woman commits it… My god, Han Ji Min, why?”“Ah, this isn’t it…”“If it was their shoulder, I would understand. Both writer and director are perverted.”“Wait, why did it have to be the butt? Shoulders, hands? There are so many other places…”“Are they crazy?”“This is tacky and wack… It isn’t funny.”“This is sexual harassment.”“Did the write and director not know this is sexual harassment?
Meanwhile, Behind Your Touch is set to premier on August 12.
