How Disney+ Moving Moved Me - A Review
Disney+ KDrama Moving is one of the best dramas for me this year.
Why?
It's a family drama with a twist.
Moving truly excels as a family drama, not only because it tells of ordinary families with extraordinary powers, but because it has a heart. The characters are relatable, and their stories are plausible. Fear, hopelessness, regret, love, longing, friendship - you feel these every day, and you feel these while watching the characters, too.
It's one of a kind.
Sure, there are other superhero dramas out there, but "Moving" gives you the emotive aspect of having superpowers. The responsibility it entails, the sacrifices you have to make, the changes you need to adapt to. The drama is full of these, from Dusik's sacrifice to leave just so Mihyun and his son can be safer; to Juwon's adapting to what is considered normal just so Heesoo can live a normal life, too.

Remember that episode where Mihyun was teaching Bongseok the responsibility of being a real hero?
Empathy and compassion, that makes a hero.#Moving #MovingEp1 #TheNoonaChronicles pic.twitter.com/fjWGdjXCej

It's emotional.
Every episode has its moment. From the first part where the children were presented. The friendship between Heesoo and Bongseok was given time to develop, and we see how they accepted each other without prejudice. The way Frank hesitated when he learned how the agents have children and how he remembered how his own mother rejected him. The friendship between Dusik and Juwon, not just mere partners but dependent of each other's trust. The love between Dusik and Mihyun; and Juwon and Jihee. The last scenes of episodes 9 and 13 broke me to pieces.

The storytelling is wonderfully executed.
Every story, every detail on every character was well established since the beginning. The dynamics between the parents and their children are clearly defined. Mihyun is overprotective of Bongseok, loading him with weights and overfeeding him so his flying will be controlled. Juwon is trying to make ends meet to raise his daughter, Heesoo. These details are important elements to establish their characters and make their situations distinctively different from a normal student trying to make it in high school. The back stories of how they ended up that way, the circumstances leading up to their present lives were clearly established and we feel and we know where they are all coming from.
Future in laws. 😄 #MovingEp8 #Moving#TheNoonaChronicles pic.twitter.com/GPwwqShCkA

There are more to be expected from the series.
With 7 more episodes to go, I am looking forward to seeing the backstory of another student with Heesoo and Bongseok, Lee Gang Hoon (Kim Do Hoon) and his father, Lee Jae Man (Kim Sung Kyun).
For sure, the finale with the 3 last episodes will be epic. And I'll definitely be here for that.
