Exhuma has Surpassed Train to Busan in International Countries Box Office Success

 Another feat for the occult movie, Exhuma.


The movie is gaining high popularity in Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. In Cambodia and Laos, it ranked first in the box office success of Korean films of all time.

In Cambodia, it achieved the highest score among all Korean works in just two days after its release on the 18th. In Laos, it surpassed 'Peninsula' and 'Train to Busan' in 11 days after its release on the 4th. As expected, it is the No.1 K-movie of all time.

According to Purple Plan, a Cambodian and Laos distributor, 
'Exhuma' has quickly established itself as a highly anticipated film in the local market. It was also released in a Khmer-dubbed version in Cambodia.
Audiences were fascinated by 'Feng shui' and the theme of occults. It is being evaluated as a fresh and unique concept that sets it apart from other movies.
On the 23rd, 'Exhuma' ranked 4th in the box office success of all Korean works in North America. It has surpassed 'Train to Busan' and 'Monster'. In Hong Kong, it is the highest score for a Korean film in its opening week since 'Peninsula' (2020).

Edko, a Hong Kong local distributor, satisfyingly said, 
'Exhuma' is creating a sensation among Hong Kong audiences with its strong presence. The Korean film has successfully returned to the Hong Kong box office.
In Indonesia, a cumulative audience of 2.6 million watched on the 18th. In Vietnam, a total of 2.44 million people has watched as of writing.
