When the Stars Gossip Draws Yet Another Criticism for Inappropriate and Controversial Lines
Viewers have again voiced their discontent over a dialog in the latest episode of When the Stars Gossip.
When it comes to sex and getting one pregnant, I am an expert.
Critics argued that such dialogue contributes little to the narrative and appears to serve only for shock value. They questioned whether the drama's writers were focusing on sensationalism rather than meaningful storytelling.
Some comments:
"Couldn't they have phrased it as 'I'm an expert in sex and pregnancy'? Was it really necessary to say 'having sex and making someone pregnant'? Even if 'and' was meant as a simple conjunction, it comes off as crass. Even if artificial insemination was referred to as 'making someone pregnant,' it's still too vulgar. Why? Did that male character really need to be so crude and unpleasant? Was that kind of portrayal essential to the story?"
"There are words like 'mating' and 'breeding,' so why not use those?"
"It feels like the writer thinks constantly throwing around the word 'sex' makes them seem cool... but listening to the lines, there’s nothing cool about it. It’s so forced and outdated, ugh."

Two weeks ago, in its pilot episode, it also drew criticism for being inappropriate. The particular lines he said at the time was:
I attended private afterschool academies, received a perfect score on my CSAT, went to medical school, then saw women's uterus every day and delivered babies every day.
The uterus of my mother and the aunties were like alcohol but were comfortable and warm. The breasts of my aunts were drenched in cigarettes but were very big and safe.
These lines were accompanied by hospital childbirth scenes that many viewers described as "highly inappropriate," "outdated," and "disturbing."
One viewer also observed that Gong Ryong confronts the men who visited the hostess bar to engage with his aunts—not to address the problems of illegal prostitution, but to demand payment.
You have to pay if you fooled around with pretty women.
