The Noona Chronicles

Jung Il Woo together with Kang Ji Young and Lee Hak Ju will lead the new SBS romantic comedy Midnight Snack Couple. Jung Il Woo plays a chef who runs his own restaurant. He decides to take part in a variety show. Kan Ji Young will play the PD of the said variety show and a love triangle with Lee Hak Ju will ensue. The first episode is expected to air this May 25.

It is confirmed. Im Soo Hyang, Ji Soo, Ha Seok Jin and Hwang Seung Eon are all casted for the upcoming drama When I Was The Prettiest. Im Soo Hyang's character will be caught up in a love tug-of-war between two brothers. Apparently, she is the first love of the younger brother. But it becomes complicated when the older brother falls for her, too. This is expected to air this August on MBC.

Thank you to South Korea for pledging 200,000 dollars to victims of the Taal volcano eruption. This is through the Philippine Red Cross, according to Seoul's Foreign Ministry on January 16. The ministry said that through this, they hope that this would be able to help in the stabilization of the victims' lives. Taal Volcano erupted on Sunday, January 12 and started emitting clouds of ash and hot lava. Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate and find other shelter. We would always hear the phrase,  daming ganap!  And for this year, this was so true for our beloved Hallyu industry. Not just in KDrama but in the KPop world as well. Here is my list of events  na nagpaiyak sakin ngayong taon.. 1. Song Song Couple Divorce They met and fell in love in the set of their hit drama  Descendants of the Sun.  And  grabe ang chemistry!  Looking at them and you'd definitely say, "they are meant to be together". We were so in love with the couple, and so happy that they are happy, or so we thought. Oh wow! My live broadcast with Fabienne Paderes ,  BLOGGING & FANGIRLING WITH NOONA, just ended. And it was fun! We talked about Noona Chronicles. We talked about Chingu to the World. Another big win for the movie Parasite ! Parasite won four big awards as announced by the Chicago Film Critics Association or CFCA. The movie won Best Picture, Best Director   for Bong Joon Ho, Best Original Screenplay  and Best Foreign Language Film. Just recently the film was also awarded Best Picture by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. Aside from that, it also got the Best Director and Best Supporting Actor (Song Kang Ho). Did you know that Parasite is also the first ever Korean film to win the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival? Also, it is the first ever Korean film to be nominated for three Golden Globe Awards. It is nominated for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Foreign Language Film. And it's also a strong contender for the Oscar Awards Best Foreign Language Film category. So I heard.
