Itaewon Class Will Have a Japanese Remake, Guess Who Plays Park Sae Roy's Character?

 On September 6, Japanese magazine Weekly Women, reported that South Korean hit drama Itaewon Class will be remade in Japan. 


The Japanese version will be titled Roponggi Class. It was reported that Japanese actor Ryoma Takeuchi was nominated to play Park Seo Joon's character, Park Sae Roy.


Takeuchi was last seen in the Japanese dramas Ship of Theseus and The Sun Stands Still: The Eclipse.

Itaewon Class is a popular Korean drama based on a webtoon of the same name. It aired last 2020 and had its national  highest viewership rating of 16.5% based on Nielsen Korea. It stars Park Seo Joon, Ahn Bo Hyun, Kim Dami and Kwon Nara.





The Japanese remake has been in the news since last year, but with the mention of Ryoma Takeuchi, the people's interest is also growing.
