Aside From Squid Game, Hometown Cha Cha Cha is Gaining Popularity Worldwide

 Squid Game has been in the top shows on Netflix for days now, even reaching the Top 1 on Netflix worldwide. But it is not only Squid Game that is gaining popularity, Hometown Cha Cha Cha is doing the same!


It might not have reached number 1, but the Kim Seon Ho Shin Min Ah starrer has made history as well, by making it into the Top 10 most watched TV show on Netflix worldwide!

Flix Patrol, a streaming analytics platform, has recorded the healing drama at number 9 on Friday, October 1. It has been listed as number 1 in 20 different countries including Australia, Indonesia and Japan.


Hometown Cha Cha Cha tells the love story between a dentist Yoon Hye Jin and handy man Hong Dusik  living in the seaside village of Gongjin. It is a remake of the 2004 movie Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong.

The latest episode, garnered a viewership rating of 11.4% nationwide. That confession scene was much awaited by fans around the world.



According to a Studio Dragon representative, "We are glad that viewers around the world are able to empathize with this healing romance set in a seaside village. They seem to appreciate the sentiment of K-drama that exudes warm, down-to-earth feelings".
