Final Thoughts on Hospital Playlist Season 3 by Shin Won Ho PD
A recent interview with Hospital Playlist Producing Director Shin Won Ho had him discussing the show's potential third season, among others.
Hospital Playlist stars Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Dae Myung as 5 friends who met in medical school and became close friends ever since. It tells the stories of doctors and patients in Yulje Medical School. The finale of the series' second season gave the series its highest ratings ever.
Viewers are anticipating a third season. And Shin PD believes that fans have seen at least one aspect of the drama charming. Like, the chemistry between 5 friends, the music, the band, the patients, the heart warming stories of their families, the love lines or the whole ensemble.
With that, the potential to produce the third season was touched on once again.
There are still a lot of stories left to tell about the patients and their guardians. Since the initial plan was to tell the stories of these doctors’ daily lives, there are still a lot of stories remaining. Just like how in our lives, today passes and then we have tomorrow’s story, and when tomorrow passes we’ll have stories from the day after, there’s no end to the daily lives of the ’99-ers’. However, since I’ve accumulated a lot of concerns and exhaustion from producing my first drama with more than one season, I don’t think it’ll be easy to make a decision on whether we’ll continue on with this story.
There you go. It seems, we are not anticipating a third season. Yet. Hoping Shin PD will change his mind on this.
