Melancholia Premier Date Postponed

 Im Soo Jung and Lee Do Hyun drama Melancholia is TvN's 15th anniversary special showcase.


It tells the story of a Math teacher Ji Yoon Soo and a Math prodigy Baek Seung Yu. It depicts a story more beautiful than Mathematics and how these two special people will reveal corruption and special treatment in a private high school. 



Originally, the drama was supposed to premier on November 3. But it was pushed back to November 10, 1030PM on tvN.

Representative from the drama says that a staff was found positive of Covid19 and after all the staff and crew got tested, 3 more are found to be positive while the others are negative. This is the cause of the delay.

 After the press conference by Kim Sae Ron's family, Kim Soo Hyun's agency has responded. During the press conference, HoverLab said that they obtained an audio recording with the late Kim Sae Ron. But, this audio file is entirely fabricated. GOLDMEDALIST has determined that it was created using AI or similar technology. The individual who provided this audio file to HoverLab is a fraudster who also approached GOLDMEDALIST, saying that they possess a recording where Kim Sae Ron made statements in favor of Kim Soo Hyun. They demanded money from GOLDMEDALIST and sent a part of the recording, which was manipulated to imitate the late actress' voice. GOLDMEDALIST did not comply with any of the provider’s demands. According to GOLDMEDALIST, the audio file provider could not have possibly had any contact with the late Kim Sae Ron.
