Kim Seon Ho Big Screen Debut in Sad Tropical Will Continue
Kim Seon Ho will make his screen debut with the Park Hoon Jung-directed drama Sad Tropical.
According to an insider on November 1, the final decision was made on the actor's appearance in the movie by the director and the investment distributor.
Sad Tropical tells the story of a half-Filipino half-Korean who comes to Korea to find his father who abandoned him.
After the controversial issue between Kim ND his ex-girlfriend, there was a long discussion on whether Kim Seon Ho will be replaced or not. Since the movie is scheduled right after Hometown ChaChaCha, there was no clear alternative to replacing Kim.
It was said that other actors were also reviewed to take the part but declined dur to different reasons like schedule conflicts or disapproval because of the recent scandal. Delaying the filming was also considered until next year but there were concerns about production costs but scheduling was not matched so the film production Mau have to be stopped altogether.
With those in consideration, the team made the decision to continue filming as is, as long AS Kim Seon Ho can do the part, as the recent controversy is a private matter.
The Sad Tropical team plans to start preparation by confirming the rest of the cast who were unable to make a final decision due to the issue.
This decision to appear in the movie has been confirmed by SALT Entertainment.
