 After 2 years, Metro Manila and a few other areas in the Philippines have been put under Alert Level 1, the lowest community quarantine status. And under this level, in-person activities can now be held in big venues.


According to an article in Manila Bulletin written by Jonathan Hicap, Happee Sy-Go of Pulp Live World, said concerts are now permitted. But still, the venues are still awaiting IATF guidelines. According to her, concerts of any kind can now be organized.

According to IATF guidelines, persons 18 years old and above need to present proof of vaccination before participating in mass gatherings or entry into indoor establishments like “venues live voice or wind-instrument performers and audiences such as in karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls, and theaters.

In the Philippines, it is now allowed, but what about the case in South Korea where the cases of Covid 19 are increasing?

On March 2, the country breached the 200,000 daily cases with 219,214 new Covid cases recorded, totaling 3.49 million cases in the country according to the Ministry of Health and Welfare. 

Under new rules, all incoming passengers from SOuth Korea need to undergo 7 days quarantine regardless of nationality and vaccination status. 

For Go-Sy, the main factor to consider when bringing acts to the Philippines is the safety and peace of mind of the artists and the fans.

With this situation, let us wait for the new guidelines and for South Korea's situation to improve.
