Extraordinary Attorney Woo Reclaims Top Position on Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English Series
According to Netflix's most recent weekly non-English TV program viewership chart, the South Korean legal drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" has reclaimed the top spot, the international video streaming provider announced on Wednesday.
According to Netflix, the TV show, which has been airing on the cable channel ENA every Wednesday and Thursday since June 29, topped the list of the top 10 non-English TV shows with 65.6 million hours of viewing during the week of July 25 to July 31.
It moved up one spot from second place a week prior, while "Alba," which had been the top show the previous week, fell to second with 33.5 million hours. The 16-part Korean-language program spent four weeks overall in the top 10, including three no. 1 finishes.
The main character of Extraordinary Attorney Woo is a lawyer named Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), who is intelligent and has an exceptional memory but has autism spectrum disroder and lacks empathy and social skills.
Other Korean dramas in the Top 10 are Alchemy of Souls on its 5th week, Remarriage and Desires on its 3rd week and Oh My Venus on its second week.
