Kim Yoo Jung and Byeon Woo Seok Popularity Soars Even More After 20th Century Girl

20th Century Girl has been a good stepping stone for the careers of its lead stars Kim Yoo Jung and Beon Woo Seok as their popularity increased even more after the movie aired.



After the movie's release on Netflix in 190 countries, their popularity soared. The movie, which tells the unfinished love story between Bora and Woonho has been well received because of its take on first loves and heartbreaks.


The American media, Variety, praised Kim Yoo Jung saying,
Kim Yoo-jung showed her convincing acting.

Meanwhile, Hongkong's South China Morning post also praised the actress' "dazzling" performance. Also Japan Real Sound referred to her career which started as a child actress,

 She is only 23 years old. She has proven that she is an actor with a lot to look forward to in the future.

On the other hand, Byeon Woo Seok was also seen as a "star who has newly revealed his presence amid the popularity of K-content."

These favorable reviews have greatly helped the movie draw foreign viewers. The movie recorded 23.9 million accumulated views from its release up to end of October for Non-English films according to the Netflix Global Top 10.  As it ranks 3rd on its 2nd week of release.

Also, according to Flix Patrol, 20th Century Girl is the number 9 movie for Netflix in November with 846 in ratings.
In addition, the SNS followers of the two stars have increased tremendously. Kim Yoo Jung's followers have increased by 500,000 in the last 3 weeks, from 5.6M to 6.2M.

Byeon Woo Seok increased by more than 800,000 followers and is now at 1.6M.
