Clearing Up the Confusion on Naksu and Jin Buyeon in Alchemy of Souls Light and Shadow
In Alchemy of Souls Light and Shadow, 3 years have passed and Mudeok is gone, but Naksu / Jin Buyeon is alive. Most are confused with how this happened.

Mudeok / Jin Buyeon's body has been fully petrified when it was retrieved from Lake Gyengchondaeho.
Naksu did not perform the alchemy of souls into Jin Buyeon's body. It was Buyeon who trapped Naksu's soul inside her body, the reason why she did not run wild. Buyeon is a powerful priestess after all.
The only way to save the petrified body is to use Naksu's energy which still remains inside her. Buyeon's soul is clinging on to that energy. But for that to happen, they have to get rid of Buyeon's soul.
Lady Jin had no choice but to agree to this to keep her daughter's body alive.
So basically, it is Buyeon's body, but the soul is Naksu's. And since it was Naksu's energy that healed the petrification, her physical form took shape and took over the original body. The body and the sould should be one to keep her alive and prevent her from running wild.
In the end, the memories from the body (Buyeon) and the soul (Naksu) were wiped clean. Which is why Naksu lost even her energy.
But still, as this is Jin Buyeon's body, a pwerful Jinyowon priestess, some of her divine powers can still be manifested, tiny as it is. Like opening Jinyowon doors and sensing energy. But other than that, there is nothing else as of now.
This may mean that if Buyeon's body starts regaining her powers, Naksu's memories may also follow.
The question is, once Buyeon's divine powers and Naksu's memories return, will Naksu's energy also return?
