The JTBC drama premiered on April 26 to favorable reviews. The first episode recorded an average viewership rating of 3.6% nationwide and 4.2% in the metropolitan area (based on Nielsen Korea, paid households).

The series is a well-made healing comedy filled with laughter, tension, and different kinds of emotions packed in 70 minutes. The happiness shown at the start with Yeongsoon and Haesik getting married and soon having a baby was so beautiful. But that soon turned into sadness and anger as she was faced with his untimely death. Viewers sympathized with what she's been going through and had to be a "Bad mother" to her child Kang Ho as they were left alone in the world.
