Yoo Ah In Attends Court Hearing to Issue Arrest Warrant

Hellbound actor Yoo Ah-in attended a court hearing on Wednesday to decide whether to issue his arrest warrant over his alleged illegal drug use.
Yoo Ah In appeared at the Seoul Central District Court for his scheduled hearing at 11 a.m. on a request for a warrant of arrest which was filed against him filed by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency last week.
Yoo ah In (real name Uhm Hong-sik), is accused of illegally using five different drugs for nonmedical purposes since 2020: propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine and zolpidem. It was suspected by police that Yoo's illegal drug use had been habitual.
The #Alive actor underwent two rounds of police questioning, including last week, and he reportedly denied the drug allegations. But he partially admitted to smoking marijuana. He insisted the use of propofol, ketamine and others was for medical purposes only.
According to officials, the police have decided to request for an arrest warrant saying he may try to destroy evidence.

A decision from the court on the warrant request may be out as early as this afternoon.
There are four other people who are also under police investigation with charges of assisting his alleged drug abuse or even using drugs themselves. The court will decide by Wednesday whether to issue an arrest warrant for one of these people.
