Song Hye Kyo's Agency Issues Apology Statement After Construction Accident

Song Hye Kyo's agency apologized for an accident that happened while her new home was being constructed.

A Korean media outlet recently disclosed that an incident occurred on July 17 at a construction site for a luxury home in the Samseong neighborhood of Gangnam district, which is owned by a prominent celebrity. According to the report, a substantial steel bar fell and caused damage to a resident's vehicle. Fortunately, there were no passengers inside the vehicle when the steel bar landed on its rear window.

Although the report refrained from explicitly mentioning the identity of the top star, Song Hye Kyo's agency, United Artist Agency (UAA), issued an official apology and confirmation later that day, acknowledging that the luxury home in question indeed belonged to Song Hye Kyo.

UAA released the following statement (translation from Soompi)
Hello, this is UAA.

During the construction of Song Hye Kyo’s home, an accident occurred in which a resident’s vehicle was damaged. We apologize for the lack of safety management.

Above all, we would like to express our apologies to the vehicle owner who suffered damage. In order to restore the damage and prevent recurrence, we will do our best to come up with countermeasures in close consultation with the construction company, and we will pay attention to prevent this from happening again.

In addition, we will collect and reflect the opinions from residents and improve the inconvenience caused by the construction.

We apologize once again.
