Castaway Diva Team Apologizes for After-Filming Restoration Issues on Jeju Island
The production team of Castaway Diva apologizes for the non-restoration controversy after filming at Jeju Island.
There was a recent controversy regarding a drama team that left large number of stones used in production was left neglected after filming on a beach on Jeju Island. The said stones matched the shape with those used in one of the scenes in "Castaway Diva" where the main female character spells out an SOS signal on the beach using rocks. It was also reported that the team supposedly did not get the administrative city's permission and cooperation. This is needed for the use and occupancy of public waters when used for filming.
The production team explained that they were expecting additional scenes to be filmed on a lter date so they left the stones in one place after consultation with the town officials.
We would like to express our deepest apology for the inconvenience caused to residents. Although we proceeded to film after explaining the production to residents and related organizations in advance, there were shortcomings in our filming and recovery process. We will restore the filming site to its original state as soon as possible.
