Baekhong and Soljae Couples Nominated for Seoul Drama Awards

 Heads up Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner fans, as Baekhong and Soljae are nominated for the Seoul Drama Awards this year!

The winners of the Seoul Drama Awards 2024 ‘Asian Star Award’ and ‘OST Award’ will be selected through the votes of Korean Wave fans around the world.  

The Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee and T&K Factory will announce the Seoul Drama Awards 2024 Asia Star Award (Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand) through the voting app Idol Champ targeting Korean Wave fans around the world for a month from the 15th to July 14th.

The Asia Star Award is for drama actors who have been loved in Asia. 
In Korea nominees include:

Kim Soo-hyun of ‘Queen of Tears’
Byeonn Woo-seok of ‘Lovely Runner’
Cha Eun-woo of ‘Wonderful World’
Song Kang of ‘My Demon’
Su-ho of ‘The Missing Crown Prince’
Lee Jun-ho of ‘King the Land’
Actors representing K-drama such as 
Chae Jong-hyeop of ‘Castaway Diva’
Kim Ji-won of ‘Queen of Tears’
Park Bo-young of ‘Daily Dose of Sunshine’, Kim Hye-yoon of ‘Lovely Runner
Lim Yoon-a of ‘King the Land’
Go Yoon-jung of ‘Moving’
were also nominated. 



As both the male and female actors from the dramas 'Queen of Tears' and 'Lovely Runner', which were very popular this year, were nominated, the battle between the Baekhong couple and the Soljae couple is much anticipated.   

Prominent actors from other countries were also nominated. In Thailand, Blue Pongthiwat Tatwanjarn, who is gaining popularity with Netflix's 'Ready Set Love', and Bhumiphat Iamsamang, who appeared in the remake of the Korean drama 'Startup', are also nominated.

Also nominated were Kim Chiu, from the Philippines, Emily Chan, from Malaysia, Desmon Thanh, from Singapore, and Ochi Rosdiana of Indonesia. In particular, this year's Asia Star Award is expected to be meaningful in terms of cultural exchange within the Asian region as it includes many emerging countries. 

In the case of OST awards, voting is centered on the K-drama title song and singers.

All candidates in each category can be vited through the voting app starting June 15th, and during the voting period. The awards ceremony will be held at KBS Hall on September 25th.
