Byeon Woo Seok's Recent Airport Incident Has Escalated

 With recent airport events, Byeon Woo Seok had to hire a private security firm because of overwhelming number of fans, putting the actor in possible danger.

In a recent video, it was seen how the actor was really struggling to make his way through the crowd, as fans continue to push and shove to get closer to him. There was lack of adequate security measures from the airport staff which aggravated the situation, thus the concern for the actor's safety.

So, the need to hire the private security firm. But with this, some netizens have filed a complaint against the actor and the security firm for what has been described as "excessive security measures".

This incident occurred on Friday, when the actor left for his fan meet in Hong Kong. While using the airport lounge, some of his security personnel supposedly shone bright flashlights at people who looked at the actor.

This led to widespread criticism over the actions of the security team. The head of the said security team has then issued an apology thru News1, along with a pledge to improve its protocols, and protecting its clients without causing inconvenience on the general public

We deeply apologize for causing discomfort to the public, we will conduct thorough retraining of our security personnel to ensure such an incident does not recur.

Byeon's agency likewise issued a statement,

 We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers during the security process at Incheon Airport on July 12. We will ensure that such situations do not occur in the future by being more meticulous and cautious, especially to avoid inconveniencing airport users and the general public. Once again, we are sorry for the concern caused.

But it does not stop there. This incident has led to a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission. An online community post, "Byeon Woo-seok Excessive Security Controversy Filed as Human Rights Violation" has been uploaded. In the post, the author said,

Byeon Woo-seok is currently embroiled in controversy over excessive security measures, including a 10-minute gate control, ticket inspection and (directing) flashlights (at other passengers). I have filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission through the national petition platform today, judging these actions to be human rights violations.
