This means that almost 2 millions viewers tuned in (1.968 million) as Seonghyu and Seokryu starts their relationship. This episode was a happy one, as we see even Seonghyu's parents starting anew and seemingly on their honeymoon phase of the relationship after rekindling their romance. Again, congratulations!

 For 2024, the most beloved Korean content on Netflix is Queen of Tears. On the 19th, Netflix released its Engagement Report, which details the content most loved by viewers worldwide in the first half of the year. This report, published twice a year since last December, shows the viewing trends of Netflix members over six months. It reveals the viewing hours and number of views for all original and licensed content watched for at least 50,000 hours in the period. In the first half of this year, viewers watched around 94 billion hours of diverse content on Netflix. Among the top 10 most popular English-language series this year, 4 were from the UK, including The Secret of Secrets, Baby Reindeer, The Gentleman: The Series, and One Day, each recording high viewership.  TvN's medical drama, Wise Resident Life, which was postponed to be aired second half of the year due to an ongoing medical strike, strike has been completely canceled this year. The medical strike, which was expected to be resolved soon, has been prolonged and public resentment is increasing. Which is why the drama has been extremely difficult to produce. It could be criticized for glorifying doctors at a time when the public is suffering greatly due to the doctor's strike.  Congratulations Love Next Door! On September 8, the Jung Hae In - Jung So Min starrer took first place in its time slot finishing off its first half strong. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of “Love Next Door” jumped to an average nationwide rating of 6.5 percent. This means that the drama was watched by 1.722 million viewers. The series' episode 8 rating was a 2.5% increase from its 7th episode where it achieved 3.978% in rating. We're excited for the 2nd half of this drama and how our two friends will end up!

 Cinderella at 2 AM has been receiving mixed reviews from viewers, on the pairing of the main leads and for Shin Hyun Neen's acting. For those watching the drama, it tells the story of Ha Yoon Seo, a modern-day Cinderella who does not need a prince to save her; and Seo Joo Won, the youngest son of a conglomerate. According to viewers, the drama was not well-received due to the poor acting of Shin Hyun Been and her dull chemistry with her leading man, Moon Sang Min. It was also mentioned that the 14-year age gap between the two makes it hard to develop on-screen chemistry.  Actor Yoo Ah In has been arrested after being found guilty for drug use, according to Yonhap News. The actor was accused of using iklegal drugs on 181 occasions between September 2020 and March 2022 under the guise of cosmetic surgery anaesthesia. He was also accused of illegally obtaining 1,100 sleeping pills under another person's name from May 2021 to August 2022. He was immediately taken into custody. On September 3, the Seoul Central Dustrict Court's 25th Criminal Division sentenced Yoo to 1 year prison, 80-hour drug rehabilitation program and a fine of 2 million won for violating the Narcotics Control Act. The prosecution requested for a 4-year prison sentence, the court gave a 1-year  sentence instead. Meanwhile, a co-defendant, identified as Choi, received an 8-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. He was charged with smoking marijuana alongside the actor. Read more here .
