Go Youn Jung's "Wise Resident Life" Canceled, Here's Why

 TvN's medical drama, Wise Resident Life, which was postponed to be aired second half of the year due to an ongoing medical strike, strike has been completely canceled this year.

The medical strike, which was expected to be resolved soon, has been prolonged and public resentment is increasing. Which is why the drama has been extremely difficult to produce.

It could be criticized for glorifying doctors at a time when the public is suffering greatly due to the doctor's strike.

Wise Resident Life was originally scheduled to air after Queen of Tears but was postponed due to the medical strike. 

The public opinion is worsening as residents are leaving the medical fields in protest of the government's policy to increase the number of medical schools. With the medical gap going on for more than half a year already, it is the patients who are suffering.
