Congratulations Squid Game for being Netflix's Biggest Debut Hit

 The South Korean drama Squid Game is now Netflix's most popular series ever, with 111 million views since it debuted 4 weeks ago. 


According to Netflix's official Twitter account, 
Squid Game has officially reached 111 million fans, making it our biggest series launch ever!

 Coming in at number 2 is Bridgerton, with 82 million households reached since its debut. Netflix uses an internal metric whic includes any account that watched an episode for at least 2 minutes.

Squid Game's success means South Korea's popularity and influence on popular culture  has indeed reached globally. What with the success of KPop group BTS and the Oscar-winning movie, Parasite.
