Meet the Officers, Residents and Rangers in the tvN Drama, Jirisan

 On October 23, the highly anticipated drama, Jirisan, will premier. It replaces the hit healing romantic comedy, Hometown Cha Cha Cha.


Meet the cast and their pivotal roles in the upcoming drama.


Jun Ji Hyun as Seo Yi Kang
She knows the mountains better than anyone but she looks at them only cynically. For her, the mountains are death. In 1995, the worst flood occurred which killed more than 100 people, and the list of victims included Yi-kang's mother and father.

Ju Ji Hoon as Kan Hyun Jo
A new ranger in the national park with a secret he can't tell anyone.
A former army captain, he began to see an incomprehensible vision after losing a subordinate while training for a march on Mt. Jiri.


Sung Dong Il as Jo Dae Jin
A man who has spent half his life in Jirisan National Park. He is respected for his strong sense of mission and honesty, but he was not always around when his family needed him. Eventually, his family left him and all he has left is Mt. Jiri.

Oh Jung Se as Jung Go Young
In order to get out of Mt. Jiri, he takes the promotional exam but fails repeatedly. He gets off work precisely on time, takes all his vacation days and never misses a monthly leave.


Jo Han Chul as Park Il Hae
An inflexible mountain man from Gangwon-do who is weak in agility but has a strong sense of honesty. He often clashes with Goo-young who is more laid-back and easy-going.


Joo Min Kyung as Lee Yang Sun
She is meticulous and quiet with a gentle smile. Rescue activities are difficult for her due to innate physical weaknesses, but she supports the rangers by taking on all the dirty work at the branch office.

Go Min Si as Lee Da Won
A mood maker with a tremendous ability to find good, fun and pleasant things in any situation.

Lee Ga Sub as Kim Sol
A high-minded 4D ghost maniac who thinks that he has scientifically and logically understood what others dismiss as superstition. He is a native born and raised in a village near Mt. Jiri.

Joo Jin Mo as Kim Gye Hee
The director of the Jeonbuk National Park Office with leadership and sincerity. With fierce charisma, he leads the scene at once. He is the godfather of the Haedong Branch rangers.

Kim Guk Hee as Yoon Soo Jin
An Ecological Restoration Center researcher, she is a human encyclopedia who knows everything about Mt. Jiri.

Kim Young Ok as Lee Moon Ok
The owner of a restaurant near Mt. Jiri. She lost her son and daughter-in-law 20 years ago in an accident. She was left to raise her granddaughter Yi-kang alone and is proud that she works as a ranger protecting Mt. Jiri.

Jeon Seok Ho as Kim Woong Soon
A native born and raised in Mt. Jiri, he has been working at Haedong Police Station for more than 15 years. He hopes for his village to always be peaceful and is always worried and wary that crime or conflict will occur.

Han Dong Ho as Park Soon Kyung
A rookie cop at Haedong Police Station, he is a simple young man who is still clumsy in everything, but is a police officer at heart.

It tells the story of Yeon Si Eun fighting against bullying using his smarts and wits, despite being seen as physically weak. Park Ji Hoon plays the lead role, Si Eun. After many viewers have seen the drama, many gave their comments on Ji Hoon's portrayal. I just watched the series and I was bawling my eyes out from episode 7. I'm surprised that he is a really good actor. His performance was superb. I couldn't stop streaming the whole thing once I saw the first episode. This is my first time watching his drama and he did really well.
