More Celebrities Donate To Help Wildfire Victims in Korea

 There is an ongoing wildfire that started on the eastern coast of Korea earlier this month. And various celebrities have shown support by donating to the victims.


It was on march 4 when a large wildfire began on the eastern coast of Korea near the town of Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province. It then spread to the neighboring area of  Samcheok in Gangwon Province and continued on to the other cities such as  Donghae and Gangneung.

Park Bo Young
Actress Park Bo Young donated 50 million won (around 2.1M pesos) to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. This will be for the temporary housing of victims, emergency relief kits and also for the firefighters who had been working relentlessly to help.
Lee Je Hoon
On March 6, it was announced that the actor donated 100 million won (around 4.2M pesos) to Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. According to the actor, 

I hope that enough necessary relief supplies are quickly provided to victims and firefighters who are working at the site of the wildfire. I also hope that the extinguishing of the wildfire and damage recovery can happen as soon as possible.

 Shin Min Ah, Park Min Young, Lee Jong Suk, Yoo Jae Suk, and Kim Hye Soo
On March 7, the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. also announced that these celebrities have donated 100 million won each. Shin Min Ah's donation will also go to specific needs of the victims. Park Min Young requested that her donations be used for temporary housing. Lee Jong Suk's donations will be used for mobile homes to create temporary housing. Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Hye Soo's will be used for emergency relief kits and cover expenses for the victims and the firefighters.


Song Hye Kyo
Song Hye Kyo donated 100 million won through the Republic of Korea National Red Cross. She said, "I hope that the victims who lost their homes due to the wildfire will quickly be able to return to their everyday lives. I hope this donation will help many people including victims and on-site emergency relief workers".
Jun Hyun Moo donated 100 million won to the Community Chest of Korea. This is to cover for the support of victims and wildfire recovery.  The actor states, "I am very worried for the wildfire victims who have lost their homes and are enduring difficult times. I hope for the fire to be extinguished quickly and I hope this gives at least a bit of help to citizens of the affected areas and firefighters.”
Kim Sejeong, Yoon Jung Hee and Yoon Se Ah
Kim Sejeong and  Yoon Se Ah donated 10 million won each(around 424K pesos) while Yoon Jung Hee donated 50 million won, through the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. Sejeong's donation will be used for relief goods, disaster recovery and to support housing and recovery of victims.  Yoon Jung Hee shared, “I have conveyed my desire to help citizens of areas that have been affected by the wildfire.”

Jay Park
On March 8, Jay Park took to Instagram to share his donation certificate as he donated 50 million won to the  Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. 
Kim Woo Bin and Kim Dong Wook
On March 8,  Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief. shared that the actors donated 100 million and 50 million won each. This is to provide emergency relief goods and to cover expenses needed by the victims.
The couple donated 200 million won (around 8.5M pesos) to the same organization for emergency relief goods and other items.
The artist donated 30 million won (around 1.2M pesos) through Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief for recovery in cities designated as special disaster zones. 
IU and Kim Go Eun
IU and Kim Go Eun donated 100 million won and 50 million won to the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief on March 4. IU's donation is to also build temporary housing for victims while Kim Go Eun's is for the victims and for the recovery operations.

Lee Byung Hun, Hyeri and Song Kang Ho
On March 6, Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief revealed that Lee Byung Hun and Song kang Ho donated 100 million won and Hyeri donated 50 million won. Lee Byung Hun and Song Kan Ho donated for the emergency relief of the victims affected. While Hyeri asked to provide aid to firefighters and children from low-income families.

For sure, more celebrities (and non-celebrities) will help as well. The families and firefighters are surely thankful for all your help.
