Will Extraordinary Attorney Woo be Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix?

 One of the most talked-about K-drama series available on Netflix right now is Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The South Korean drama centers on Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), an attorney with Autism Spectrum Disorder, employed by the law firm, Hanbada. Since its June 29, 2022 premiere, the courtroom drama has dominated Netflix's international charts. It's been on the top of the Netflix Global Top 10 for 6 weeks now.

First off, let us note that AStory, KT Studio Genie, and Nangman Crew are the production companies behind Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Netflix and ENA are the distributors. So the decision to renew will be up to Netflix at this point. With that, AStory has a very good news.


In a recent interview, the show's director, Yoo In Sik,  mentioned that the ratings and ranking of the show is important on the decision to renew. But he also said that gathering the original cast again and match their schedules will be difficult. But I guess it can still be done.


Well, most KDramas shown on Netflix normally just lasts one season. But dramas like Squid Game, Sweet Home, Kingdom, Arthdal Chronicles, DP and Love Alarm and others have been renewed for a second season. 

Good news is, Extraordinary Attorney Woo will have a second season as well!



AStory CEO Lee Sang Baek said in an interview on the 17th,
Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce season 2 of 'Woo Young-woo'. The goal is to make season 2 aired at that time, in 2024. It is not easy to coordinate the schedules of the cast and production team, so we will have to go through a lot of discussion. As long as there are no abnormalities, the goal is to leave more than 90% of the members as they are.
