Request for Arrest Warrant for Actor Yoo Ah In Rejected
Officials said a court in Seoul rejected the request for an arrest warrant for actor Yoo Ah-in on charges of using five different illegal drugs on Thursday.
The Seoul Central District Court decided on Wednesday night, stating that the Hellbound actor is unlikely to destroy evidence or flee. He has admitted to most of the drug charges but rejected the warrant request filed by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency last week.
Yoo Ah In is accused of illegally using five different drugs for nonmedical purposes since 2020.
The court said he regrets smoking marijuana but has no previous record of drug crimes. His use of cocaine is still under contention.
After the court decision, The Seoul Vibe alum left Seoul Mapo Police Station at 11:40 p.m. where he had been staying since early Wednesday for the court hearing.
