Jisoo's Acting in "Newtopia" Trailer Criticized with Harsh Comments
Newtopia trailer has been released and its female lead, Blackpink's Jisoo, has received mainly negative comments for her performance.
Jisoo portrays Yeong Ju, a young woman struggling with a complicated relationship with her boyfriend amidst a zombie apocalypse. Set in a high-rise air defense unit in Seoul, the story revolves around a zombie outbreak. It follows Jae Yun, a soldier wrestling with his future and a recent breakup, and Yeong Ju, his girlfriend, who becomes caught in the turmoil as she attempts to reunite with him.
The series promises intense action and emotional drama. But the attention has shifted to Jisoo’s performance, with many questioning whether she is the right fit for the role.
The trailer immediatley became a trending topic on online forums, with one post on TheQoo, accumulating up 35,000 views. Many netizens have expressed disappointment in Jisoo’s delivery, with her pronunciation and vocal tone as major issues. The comments section has been flooded with criticism.
